AUSTRAC Enrolment Opens (Tranche 2)
AUSTRAC enrolment portal opens for Tranche 2 reporting entities. Accountants, lawyers, real estate agents, conveyancers, and precious metals dealers must enrol with AUSTRAC.
AUSTRAC Tranche 2 Full Compliance Deadline
Full AML/CTF compliance obligations begin. Your AML/CTF program, CDD processes, risk assessments, and staff training must be in place. SMR and TTR reporting obligations are now active.
Recommended: Finalise AML/CTF Program
Recommended deadline to have your AML/CTF program finalised and reviewed before the July 1 compliance date. Allows time for staff training and process testing.
Recommended: Begin Client CDD Reviews
Recommended start date for conducting Customer Due Diligence on existing clients. Prioritise high-risk clients first. Allow 4-6 weeks before compliance deadline.
Recommended: Complete Staff AML Training
Recommended deadline to complete initial AML/CTF awareness training for all staff. AUSTRAC requires ongoing employee training as part of your compliance program.
